Pam Dansie - The Artist I took my first lampworking class in March of 2006. I had never even heard of lampworking until then and have not stopped creating beads since that time. I have a studio in my basement where I have a minor torch that uses propane and oxygen from a concentrator. I also take all my pictures in my studio. My sweetie built the room for me and it is my little slice of heaven on earth.
I have done crafts for as long as I can remember. I crochet, quilt, cross-stitch, etc. I have always felt the need to create. Most of what I have learned about lampworking has been from books and the Internet. I LOVE my “Passing the Flame” book, it is my bible.
In my “real” life I work full time nights as a nurse on a research unit. It is a really good job, and leaves me lots of time to “dream” about all the beads I want to create. I have a wonderful man in my life and a totally spoiled puppy. They are both very good for me.
